Bruce joined Haines in June 2003 as President and Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Bruce rose quickly through the Haines ranks with a promotion to President and COO in 2004. In 2005 he was again promoted to President and CEO.
Prior to joining Haines, Bruce was VP/General Manager of a global chemical division of Millennium Chemicals. On his watch, the division grew from $400 million in sales to $700 million due to organic growth and international acquisitions. The division’s manufacturing facilities were located in the United States, England, Australia, France and Brazil.
Bruce’s 23-year career at Millennium, and its parent companies, Hanson Industries and SCM Corporation, included roles in sales, marketing, technology, supply chain and HR/organization development. Prior to Millennium, Bruce was a Sales Manager for Burroughs Corporation (now Unisys).
Bruce has an MBA from the University of New Haven, CT, with a major in Marketing and minor in HR. He holds a BA from Fairfield University, CT, with a major in Spanish and a minor in Business.
Bruce and his wife Marsha, reside in Hunt Valley, MD. They have a son and daughter. Bruce is Chairman of the Haines Foundation, he has been active in various church- and youth-related activities, is a member of the Board of Directors of Maryland’s Boy Scouts of America and, deeply involved in the Haines United Way program and other outreach initiatives.
