December 5, 2018 — Glen Burnie, MD – Hoy Lanning, Jr., has been promoted to President & CEO of J.J. Haines & Co. He has held numerous executive positions with Haines since January 2014, most recently serving as Executive Vice President-Business Development.
Lanning is among the most well-known and respected leaders in the flooring industry. On November 6th, the North American Association of Floor Covering Distributors recognized Lanning with the 2018 NAFCD Lifetime Achievement Award for his 40-plus years of industry leadership.
Lanning has held multiple senior positions at Haines over the past few years including Senior CEO Advisor. Following Haines’ acquisition of CMH Space Flooring Products in January 2014, Lanning joined the Haines executive team as Senior Vice President of CMH Marketing and Haines Purchasing & Inventory.
Lanning joined CMH in 1991 as General Manager and later became the company’s President & CEO. He is a past president of the North American Association of Floor Covering Distributors and is active with numerous boards and non-profit organizations in the community.
